DDS Decompression Belt vs. Muscle Atrophy

Wikipedia defines Muscle Atrophy as a “decrease in the mass of the muscle; it can be a partial or complete wasting away of muscle.”   Disuse of the muscle is one of the many ways that someone might struggle with this condition.

The DDS Lumbar Decompression Belt DOES NOT promote muscle atrophy.  The brace, when fully inflated, is still completely pliable.  This means that one’s core muscles are still necessary while wearing the Brace.

You can see from the chart below that the average sustained torque while wearing the DDS Decompression Belt never drops below the torque level produced without the DDS Decompression Belt.

The DDS Lumbar Decompression Belt promotes muscle stimulation; movement is never limited in contrast to most other lumbar supports.
